How do I schedule a truck into a terminal?
Scheduling a truck into one of the Port of Charleston terminals is as easy as a phone call. Trucks coming into the terminal to drop off or load breakbulk cargo should
be scheduled 48 hours prior to arrival with the Planning and Scheduling Department to allow us to make labor and equipment arrangements. Container movements are
not scheduled movements, so intermodal truckers need not make advance appointments. Appointments for all terminals can be made directly with Planning and Scheduling
by calling the toll free scheduling line: 1-800-382-4577.
In cases where adequate information is provided through the ORION computer system on import cargo, Planning and Scheduling will notify the motor freight line when
cargo is ready for pick-up.
